Promotional Products Association International (PPAI), Irving, Texas, announced Marsha Londe, owner and CEO of Atlanta-based Tango Partners; and Mary Ellen Sokalski, MAS, CEO of Cherry Hill, New Jersey-based creative marketing agency The Scarlet Marketeer, as recipients of the 2018 PPAI Woman of Achievement award. The presentation of the PPAI Woman of Achievement award will take place during the 2018 PPAI Women’s Leadership Conference (WLC) welcome dinner and award presentation, June 25, in Hollywood, Calif.
The 2018 PPAI Woman of Achievement award recognizes individuals who have led the way in the advancement of women in the industry, exhibited outstanding leadership and made significant contributions to the industry and her community. The PPAI Woman of Achievement award recipients constantly strive to go above and beyond. They lead the way by setting the standard of excellence in the industry. They are an inspiration to others—role models and mentors.
Londe is an accomplished industry executive, advocate, speaker, writer, volunteer and role model. A trailblazer in the industry, she has given freely of her time and knowledge, connecting peers and provided guidance and strategy to so many. She has served on the PPAI Awards and PPB Editorial Advisory Committees, and has worked on numerous volunteer projects and regional events.
She has been honored as a PPAI Fellow, PPB Powerful Partner, PPAI Best Boss, ASI Salesperson of the Year, member of the ASI Inaugural Class of Women in the Promotional Products Profession and recognized by the Gold Coast Promotional Products Association. She has won 25 PPAI Pyramid Awards and her work has been nationally recognized for her clients’ use of promotional products.
Sokalski has a distinguished history in the promotional products industry as a volunteer, speaker, mentor, advocate and educator with more than 200 sessions to her credit. She has served on the boards of PPAI—as vice chair of marketing (2001-2005)—Promotional Professionals Mentoring Network, YESSA and Specialty Advertising Counselors of the Delaware Valley (SACDV). Additionally, she has been a member of many PPAI committees and advisory groups, and has attended the Women’s Leadership Conference for eight years.
Sokalski has been recognized with the PPAI Distinguished Service Award, ASI Woman to Watch, PPAI Lifetime Achievement Award in Education, PPAI Facilitator Excellence Award, ASI Distinguished Woman in Promotional Products Award, and with eight PPAI Supplier Achievement and two PPAI Golden Pyramid Awards, the SACDV Pyramid, President’s and Person of the Year Awards, and she was inducted into the SACDV Hall of Fame in 2006.
