The Brand Activation Association (BAA) announced Christine Goonan has joined the organization as the director of membership.
In her new role, Goonan will be responsible for membership recruitment and retention in addition to developing new member services for the only national nonprofit trade association that addresses all aspects of activating the brand experience.
“We are delighted to have Christine join us and we are confident she will play a key role in growing and developing BAA’s membership services,” said Bonnie Carlson, BAA president and CEO. “I’m confident she will enhance the value we provide to our members and will be a very important asset to the association.”
Formerly the director of membership at Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum, a New York City national historical landmark and nonprofit museum, Goonan, who began as a membership manager, increased individual membership renewals by 45 percent and online sales by 245 percent in 2012. She also enhanced membership engagement on the museum’s website.
Goonan’s other roles have included marketing coordinator at the Women’s Sports Foundation and working in the marketing partnership and media group for the NBA, both New York, N.Y.
