Garment Printer Ink, a Hauppauge, NY-based supplier of apparel decoration equipment and more, has rebranded as GPI Supplies.
The firm’s offerings have included solutions such as printers for direct-to-garment, direct-to-film, UV print, sublimation and more, as well as components like inks and solvents.
Still, the impetus for the branding facelift is an effort to illustrate that the company does more than just inks and apparel, as it has expanded into additional print sectors like wide-format printing, signage and decoration on promotional product hard goods.
According to the GPI website, new products relate to aspects of the decoration industry like inks, supplies and equipment for sign printing, promotional product decoration, wide-format graphic printing, UV printing and embroidery.
“This is an exciting new chapter for us,” GPI CEO Dean Armando told the Victoria Advocate. “Our new name reflects our commitment to serving the entire graphic printing industry. Whether you’re in apparel decoration, signage, promotional printing or wide-format graphics, we have the supplies and expertise to support your success.”
The move comes in an era in which printers are increasingly understanding the crossover between apparel, promotional hard goods and traditional print like signage and displays, leading to increased revenue opportunities.
