Kornit Digital Acquires Netherlands-Based PrintFactory

Key Takeaways

• Kornit is acquiring Netherlands-based PrintFactory to strengthen its digital workflow, color management and production automation capabilities, supporting the apparel industry’s shift from analog to agile on-demand manufacturing.

• Kornit says the acquisition will help address key barriers to digital adoption in apparel decoration while improving efficiency and sustainability by reducing waste.

• The PrintFactory news was announced ahead of Kornit’s KornitKonnections event, alongside the launch of Atlas MATRIX, a new unified digital production system for flexible manufacturing across multiple fabric types.

Kornit is expanding its digital offerings with the acquisition of Netherlands-based PrintFactory.

The digital fashion and textile company announced the deal just ahead of its third annual KornitKonnections event, which brings together leaders from across the apparel and textiles industry.

According to Kornit, PrintFactory’s workflow, color management and production automation software will help accelerate the firm’s digital transformation efforts. PrintFactory will continue to operate from its headquarters in the Netherlands and will continue serving its existing customer base, including those outside textile and apparel printing, as well as those operating mixed technology environments. The deal is expected to close officially in Q2 2026.

Financial terms of the deal were not released, but Kornit says it does not expect the acquisition to significantly impact its near-term revenue or earnings.

“This acquisition is about more than workflow or color management,” said Kornit CEO Ronen Samuel. “It is about building the digital infrastructure the fashion industry needs to move from analog production to agile on-demand manufacturing. By connecting demand generation, production workflow and manufacturing through one integrated platform, we are accelerating the industry’s transition to a new production model.”

While the global screen-printing market is one of the largest production segments in apparel decoration, Kornit says it remains heavily dependent on analog processes. Many producers face significant operational barriers when transitioning from traditional production processes to digital manufacturing, including managing complex workflows, the need to coordinate multiple technologies, streamlining connectivity within IT environments and overcoming the challenge of maintaining consistent production output across different production lines. PrintFactory’s technology addresses these gaps, Kornit says.

Additionally, PrintFactory’s platform will help streamline operations for producers, from file preparation all the way through to final output. This improves sustainability by reducing media and ink waste while enabling production environments that run faster and more consistently.

“For more than three decades, PrintFactory has focused on solving real workflow and production challenges for professional print operations,” said Erik Strik, CEO of PrintFactory. “Joining Kornit opens an exciting new chapter. Kornit’s global reach, innovation culture and platform vision will accelerate our road map and significantly expand the value we deliver to customers worldwide.”

In addition to the PrintFactory acquisition, Kornit also unveiled a new product offering at Konnections 2026: Atlas MATRIX is a unified digital production system designed for flexible manufacturing across cotton, polyester and blended fabrics. Kornit will showcase Atlas MATRIX with live demonstrations at Konnections, as well as the FESPA Global Print Expo in Barcelona May 19-22, 2026.
