Leed’s Garners Industry Accolades

This January, New Kensington, Pennsylvania-based Leed’s received recognition from the Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI), Promotional Product Professionals of Canada (PPPC) and the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI), along with acknowledgement from distributors.

The company not only received recognition from the associations, Leed’s accepted close to 15 awards from distributor customers, including Supplier of the Year from eCompany Store, Brandvia and Promo Depot. Geiger handed Leed’s the title of Star Supplier and PeerNet Group listed Leed’s as a Premiere Partner. Leed’s also received the Merit Award from Corporate Express, is considered a Top Supplier by IpromoteU, and received the Long Board Award from Promo Shop.

During this year’s PPAI Expo in Las Vegas, Leed’s received silver in the Supplier Star Award from PPAI. In 2007 Leed’s accepted the Gold Supplier Star Award. According to Jeff Brown, vice president of marketing and product development, “Leed’s is excited about being honored for the second year in a row. This is an extremely prestigious award and we truly appreciate that PPAI has recognized our efforts.”

At ASI Orlando’s show Leed’s received the Distributor Choice Award for business accessories, computer accessories, drinkware, housewares and tools, luggage and bags, and office and desk items. This is the first year for winning the housewares and tools category and the seventh year for winning the luggage and bags category.

During the PPPC National Convention, held in Jan., Leed’s was not only given the gold for supplier of the year, the company also received four other awards, including best Web site, best catalog, gold for the most beneficial sales and marketing aid, and silver for the supplier self promotion category.

In addition, Leed’s employees also received recognition by distributor companies. Pete Catone, business development representative, received the customer service sales representative of the year from eCompany Store and Karen Castro, regional sales manager for Georgia and South Carolina, received the sales representative of the year from eCompany Store, as well. Nina Davi, regional sales manager for Northern California, Utah and Nevada, was named a top supplier representative by Brandvia. Nikki Kunkle, senior key contact, is Promo Depot’s customer service representative of the year. Brian Frazer, regional sales manager for Florida, was named the sales representative of the year by Promo Depot. Erin Harris, regional sales manager for East Ontario, and Jennifer Carver, business development representative, both received bronze for salesperson of the year from the PPPC.
