The Hudson Valley Umbrella Company, parent company of Valley Cottage, New York-based Stromberg Brand Umbrellas, announced the hiring of 28-year industry veteran Pat Kiddoo as a multi-line sales representative in Indiana, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
After graduating from the University of Missouri with degrees in accounting and economics, Kiddoo determined that sitting behind a desk working on spreadsheets all day was not for him. A career in promotional products sales seemed like a more enjoyable path to take, and he’s been in it ever since then. His first industry job was with Souvenir Inc., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where he soon became the national sales manager. He then worked for Cap America, Fredericktown, Mo., before starting his multi-line business in 1998.
“The distributors in Pat’s territory speak very highly of him, always citing his extensive industry knowledge, professionalism and terrific service,” said Dan Pigott, director of sales for The Hudson Valley Umbrella Company. “We couldn’t be happier to have him on team Stromberg, and are looking forward to continuing to build our business with him.”
