Two more industry powerhouses, PolyConcept North America (which includes Bullet, Leed’s, Trimark and Humphrey), Pittsburgh, and Gemline, Lawrence, Mass., have joined the ranks of Geiger, Lewiston, Maine, and other industry visionaries to provide inventory via Common Web Services. They join Starline Inc., Hit Promotional Products, BIC Graphic, Jetline, Logomark and Southern Plus.
Common Web Services was developed as the result of collaboration among Geiger, HALO Branded Solutions, Starline, BIC Graphic and Hit Promotional Products. The vision of this project is to provide a platform that delivers real-time inventory information in a way that can be easily accessed and utilized to populate various systems. Any industry firm can use the common standards available at www.promostandards.org.
Currently, Geiger, AIA and HALO are utilizing the information provided by this project, along with the Facilis Group, DistributorCentral and commonsku. Geiger has requested all preferred vendors adopt the Common Web Service by June 30 in preparation for the annual galleria scheduled for July 16 through 19, where more than 400 participants will meet to learn and share new ideas.
