he new year is quickly approaching, and for the promotional products industry it is a time of mass preparations for the markets busiest season, when trade shows and events come at us rapidly.
Personally, this is also a time that pulls each one of us in every direction. Finding the time to make magic for the season and finding the balance between work and home—you know, that concept constantly being drilled into our heads on television and in magazines—seems near impossible.
Both men and woman within our industry are gripped by long hours, stress and a stream of unending deadlines. And while it certainly may feel like the peaceful reprieve of February, March and April are far off on the horizon, this hectic time will soon pass, deadlines will be met and eventually success will be measured.

This will ensure that during those long working hours you are sharp and effective. The balance we are always hearing about really is remembering your humanity; physically and emotionally. While a booming career is a worthy goal, without fulfilling vital life areas, such as health, sleep, leisure and relationships, is it truly worth the cost?
