We (Brendan) still haven’t seen “Uncut Gems,” but we’ve enjoyed pretty much every other Adam Sandler movie where he breaks out of his fart joke bubble and moves into drama territory under the tutelage of some legacy studio or director. He’s teamed up with A24 for “Uncut Gems,” which we previously reported hosted a cool pop-up event to sell some movie merchandise. Some of the promotional GEMS have made their way to A24’s web store, which we’ve previously praised for its creativity and huge stock of promotional items.
For “Uncut Gems,” the studio has released items like a basketball with a phrase that probably makes a lot more sense to those who have seen the movie (we know Kevin Garnett is in it!), and a Furby pendant, which also probably has some place in the plot. We know that because we’ve seen stills of the movie, but we’re not sure where it fits into anything.

Either way, for those who have seen the movie, this is probably pretty exciting, as the film has been one of the most critically acclaimed of the past year, and has earned Sandler legimate Oscar whispers. (Heck, “Punch Drunk Love” earned the Sand Man a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor, so this could totally happen.)
The A24 store also includes a zine created by filmmakers Josh and Benny Safdie, as well as a clever gem grading chart. The Furby pendant is sold out, but fans can still get their hands on the basketball for $75, the zine for $5 and the grading chart for $40.
This was also a good excuse to peruse the A24 to see what other merchandise the studio has added since our last story. Some of the highlights for us include a “The Lighthouse” grooming set (which includes a mermaid-shaped bar of soap and a bottle of beard oil), a San Francisco Field Guide poster for “The Last Black Man in San Francisco,” and a printable headshot of James Franco as Tommy Wiseau in “The Disaster Artist.”
A24 has become one of the most consistently good studios in Hollywood right now, and it’s adding consistent promotional greatness to its repertoire.
