Bag Makers, Union, Ill., announced the promotion of Linda McMahan-Kollinger, MAS, to its new position of director of merchandising. She also will continue to serve as Southeast business development manager, a role she has held for 10 years.
In her new position, she will be responsible for ensuring creative and consistent company booth presentations for national, regional and end-user shows.
“Linda is dedicated to presenting our products in a way that really resonates with our customers,” said Maribeth Sandford, Bag Makers’ CEO. “Linda is working to create merchandising strategies that will allow our talented sales team to set up displays that showcase our products consistently across the country, yet still cater to different industries and bag needs.”
An industry veteran, McMahan-Kollinger spent 15 years as a distributor before joining Bag Makers. She started with Gilbert and Manjura Merchandise in 1990 and then purchased the company’s merchandise division, which was renamed GM Merchandise, in 2002. She is also the recipient of multiple PPAI Golden Pyramid Awards for outstanding, creative use of promotional products by distributors in a variety of client programs and campaigns.
