Boost Technologies LLC Recognized for Exemplary Workplace Practices

Dayton, Ohio-based Boost Technologies LLC, parent company of Shumsky Promotional and Boost Rewards, received a 2014 When Work Works Award for its use of effective workplace strategies to increase business and employee success.

“We are thrilled to receive this recognition for our workplace practices,” said Anita Emoff, CEO of Boost Technologies. “We are working very hard on improving the culture of our organization and a large part of that is providing flexibility to our employees.”

When Work Works project, which is administered by the Families and Work Institute and the Society for Human Resource Management, recognizes employers across the country with the prestigious award. A rigorous assessment qualifies worksites in the top 20 percent nationwide. The six ingredients of an effective workplace include opportunities for learning, a culture of trust, work-life fit, supervisor support for work success, autonomy and satisfaction with earnings, benefits and opportunities for advancement.

“These employers are making work work in innovative and inspiring ways and set an example for employers both nationally and internationally,” said Ellen Galinsky, president of Families and Work Institute.

“The When Work Works Award recognizes organizations that foster a culture of workplace flexibility and effectiveness, which gives them a competitive advantage. Their practices set them apart from other organizations,” said Lisa Horn, director of Society for Human Resource Management’s Workplace Flexibility Initiative.
