Boxercraft, Atlanta, has acquired the assets of Boxer Rebellion, an apparel manufacturer based in Virginia Beach, Va.
“We are excited about the opportunity this purchase presents for the Boxer Rebellion customers and for Boxercraft,” said Jon Carroll, owner of Boxercraft. “We recently expanded our Atlanta based distribution center to offer same day shipment for in-stock items and five-day shipment for custom-printed items, so this acquisition will immediately benefit our new Boxer Rebellion customers.”
Well known in the decorator, promotional product and retail markets for its unique pants and shorts, Boxercraft features team-colored flannel, sport and novelty imprints. Both the Boxercraft and Boxercraft Girl brands are identified with “fun” and “unique” spirit wear among the youth-oriented customers. With the acquisition, the Boxercraft Girl line has expanded to include matching top and bottom outfits, as well as custom rhinestone transfers, in its newly released July 2006-2007 catalog.
“This acquisition also broadens our product line, printing capabilities and distribution” added Carroll. “Every Boxer Rebellion customer will receive free product samples and our new 2006-2007 catalog to welcome them to the Boxercraft family.”
More than 5,000 businesses have ordered from Boxer Rebellion, which also enjoys a strong private-label business, and manufacturing for leading resort, corporate and retail accounts.
“Though we will miss our customers and industry friends made over the past 13 years, we are very pleased that our customers have uninterrupted and immediate access to the Boxercraft line with this acquisition,” said J.P. VanDorn, owner of Boxer Rebellion. “Though competitors for more than 20 years, Boxercraft and I always enjoyed a mutual respect for each other.”
