Collecting at Star Wars Celebration

Star Wars fans have a lot to celebrate right now. The trailer for the new movie has been circulating the Internet, and the hype is buzzing more than ever around the galaxy far, far away. Attendees at the Star Wars Celebration, an event that coincides with the release of a new Star Wars movie, got their hands on some cool freebies and memorabilia. Here are some of the ones that stood out to us.
Bleeding Cool posted some pictures of items they received at the convention. Members of the press were given their Star Wars-themed media passes, which depicted the character The Inquisitor. Each clever media pass was attached to a lanyard featuring various spacecrafts.
For those looking for collectibles, Halmark had Christmas ornaments modeled after concept art of Darth Vader and the original design of Luke Skywalker (then named Luke Starkiller). Fans could also grab some fuzzy dice for their rearview mirrors in the shape of the iconic Death Star.
According to the Star Wars Celebration website, certain collectibles were given out after panel discussions, such as coins, T-shirts, action figures and “Star Tots,” which are small cartoon versions of characters of the Star Wars universe.
Of course, traditional collectibles like pins, patches and keychains were plentiful. Fans could also buy Star Wars pint glasses from the official store, or pick up large prints of Star Wars art.
