With the renewed interest in vinyl records, artists and labels have found ways to get gimmicky with their printing and packaging.
Emo titans Fall Out Boy are pressing a limited number of their new album with the band members’ actual tears.
They’re calling it “Crynyl.”
To add to the whole thing, the special edition box set comes in a gatefold cover that includes a fully functional tissue dispenser built in.

As Consequence pointed out, the special edition vinyl is long sold out, which should surprise no one. But, we can still enjoy it and take some notes about ways to use packaging and printing in new and innovative ways.
This isn’t even the first bodily fluid promotion we’ve seen over here, either.
Liquid Death created a special edition skateboard with Tony Hawk that used the skateboarding legend’s actual blood in the ink.
Today, Tony Hawk sold 100 skateboards painted with his blood 🩸
Water company Liquid Death infused each of the limited-edition decks with a vial’s worth of Hawk’s DNA.

With that, and now the Crynyl, the only thing we’re missing is sweat to complete the blood/sweat/tears trifecta.
We’re sure it’ll happen sooner or later. Maybe some sort of athletic apparel or something?
