Labor Day has come and gone, and with it, my sense of shame surrounding my pumpkin consumption. While I love the summer season and its corresponding beach days, I always fall hard for the fall. The air is re-energized with the autumn wind, plaid scarves are ubiquitous, “Hocus Pocus” finally returns to the TV schedule and pumpkin-flavored everything returns to store shelves (and more importantly, Starbucks).
While I sipped on my morning pumpkin spice latte, I realized the power of the pumpkin. For an entire two months, fall’s most notable symbol will be center stage throughout the nation. And while many people will be gifted with a papier-mâché pumpkin crafted by their first-grader, why not give end-users more variety with these pumpkin promotional products?
1. Pumpkin Coasters
Promotional coasters are gaining in popularity due to their never-ending potential. Think about it: When’s the last time you attended an event without coasters? (Your aunt Edna’s clam bake doesn’t count.) In all likelihood, you’ve seen a lot of coasters. Plus, there’s few things I admire more than a unique coaster—I even collected them while I studied abroad in Ireland. End-users can host their Halloween parties without the stress of condensation accumulating on their wooden tables, and your company’s branding can be the decorative hero of the evening.
2. Pumpkin-carving Tools
Some of my fondest childhood memories revolve around carving pumpkins. My siblings and I would spend hours sketching and cutting our perfect pumpkins, which would eventually lend itself to a good old-fashioned pumpkin seed fight (we grew up without cable TV). There’s no reason for end-users to reach for a sub-par kitchen knife, when they can use a pumpkin carver to get the job done.
3. Pumpkin Sunglasses
Not everyone has the time to brainstorm the perfect Halloween costume, and oftentimes last-minute Halloween costumes are the result. Instead of reaching for a sheet and a pair of scissors, end-users can don an attention-grabbing pair of light-up pumpkin promotional sunglasses. Plus, we all know there’s nothing spookier than UVA rays!
4. Pumpkin Bags
My mom wanted to ensure our childhood trick-or-treating excursions were special, so she personalized cloth pumpkin bags with our names. Every year, it was always a momentous occasion when the pumpkin bags came out of the garage and into the hallway. Pumpkin tote bags can be used for trick-or-treating or as the candy-filled centerpieces in classrooms, parties or any other gathering.
5. Pumpkin Lip Balm
While pumpkin candles are great, you can’t take the scent with you! (Trust me, candle wax doesn’t travel well.) Instead, treat users to pumpkin-scented, moisturized lips with pumpkin lip balm. Lip balm products are heavy-hitters in the promotional product space because they’re both functional and travel-sized. I keep lip balm at my desk, in my car, in my purse, in my bedroom and in the kitchen. You can read more about the promotional power of lip balm in our October feature on health and wellness products.
