The Gold Coast Promotional Products Association (GCPPA) celebrated its successful 2017 with a year-ending holiday party and annual meeting, held on Dec. 18 at the MaiKai Polynesian restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Outgoing president, Jean Kalinsky, welcomed members and guests to this event, which featured a keynote presentation from Paul Bellantone, CEO and President of PPAI.
Jean thanked her board for their hard work and efforts during a challenging but ultimately rewarding year, offering special thanks to immediate past president Jared Opper, and treasurer William Brasmar, both of whom have finished their terms of service on the board.
Incoming president Steven Lazarus, MAS, welcomed the large crowd to the event, and was joined on stage by his board of directors, featuring new members Tanesha Anderson and George Matchak. He shared with the audience his plans for 2018 and beyond, and thanked his family and coworkers for their continued support of him and GCPPA.
During the evening, the following awards were presented:
- Volunteer of the Year: Tanesha Anderson
- Distributor of the Year: JPJ More4Less
- Supplier of the Year: Ad-A-Day
The evening’s host was Gary Tuchler, MAS, who made sure to acknowledge the night’s organizer, board member (and incoming treasurer) Lynn Glover. He then stepped aside to allow for the floor show put on by the MaiKai performers.
