Gold Bond, Chattanooga, Tenn., is hosting a distributor contest in conjunction with TaylorMade and Maxfli. Through the end of July, all TaylorMade and Maxfli golf items will be on sale. Each time a distributor places an order for one of the products, his or her name will be entered into a drawing for a free trip that includes a golf outing and a tour of Gold Bond’s plant in Chattanooga.
“We wanted to put together a trip that would be exciting, relaxing and professionally rewarding,” said Mark Godsey, president. “The answer was to include exciting Chattanooga venues, golf for two at a Jack Nicklaus-designed course, a three-night stay in the famous Bluff View Art District on the edge of the Tennessee River, and a behind-the-scenes look at Gold Bond’s production plant.”

In other company news, Gold Bond recently invested in high-speed, computerized screen printing equipment that automates the printing of its carpenter pencils.
Godsey said the new equipment “provides improved imprint quality, automated second-side or second-color imprinting, and improved accuracy when imprinting difficult multi-color logos.” Furthermore, he pointed out the equipment will allow Gold Bond to maintain its four-day standard production.
“We want to make a big statement with the introduction of this eqipment,” noted Godsey, announcing customers will receive second-color or second-side imprinting on the pencils at no additional charge during the third quarter of the year.
