Gordon Sinclair to Reopen Today After Monday Power Outage

Promotional products supplier Gordon Sinclair suffered a power outage at its main facility at 1500 Plaza Ave. in New Hyde Park, N.Y., on Monday afternoon.

Gordon Sinclair reports that an air compressor malfunctioned in the facility, which caused a minor fire. Area police and firefighters responded to a fire alarm at 3:29 p.m. on Monday, shutting off the power to the plant. No one at the facility was hurt.

According to a representative at Gordon Sinclair, the company expects the factory to be up and running later this afternoon, and staff will be working late to fulfill orders. Shipments labeled prior to the incident yesterday were sent, and the company will be shipping later today, although some orders will not ship as anticipated.
