HALO/Lee Wayne, Serling, Ill., presented its 2006 Supplier of the Year and Supplier Representative of the Year Awards to Pittsburgh-based Leed’s and Largo, Florida-based Hit Promotions, respectively, at the company’s Preferred Supplier Mixer, held during the PPAI Expo in January.
Leed’s received the 2006 Supplier of the Year Award as a result of votes from account executives and home office staff. Terry McGuire, HALO/Lee Wayne’s senior vice president of marketing, said, “Leed’s innovation and service continue to help us grow our sales. They set the standard for supplier-distributor relationships with the many special things they do for us.”
Of his company’s designation, David Nicholson, president of Leed’s, commented,
“We are very gratified to receive this award from a top industry distributor and a very valued customer. It’s a great honor for the entire Leed’s team.”
Jim Heurung, regional sales manager for Hit Promotions, was recognized as the 2006 Supplier Representative of the Year. Julie Harms, HALO/Lee Wayne’s supplier relations administrator, presented the award to Heurung. “Jim goes the extra mile for us each day by providing exclusive promotions for our sales team, participating in our end-user shows, and constantly supporting our staff and account executives throughout the year,” noted Harms.
Marc Simon, HALO/Lee Wayne’s president and CEO, noted, “The profit enhancements and exclusive promotions our suppliers provide are passed on to our sales people who, in turn, have honored these key suppliers with substantial business increases this past year. We are pleased to be able to show our thanks for their efforts.”
