Hub Pen Company, Braintree, Mass., developed the Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt training program and certification to give employees more tools to become valuable players in order to better accomplish the company’s larger goals and objectives. This better understanding of daily tasks converts into enhance quality, decreased waste and better cycle times.
“We decided to do the training because every employee is important in providing ideas and suggestions,” said Bob McGaughey, Hub Pen’s general manager. “The employees learn the process for improving every aspect of our operations and it takes teamwork to become a leaner and greener organization.”
Ron Pujalte, of Greater Boston Manufacturing Partnership, conducted the training at Hub Pen.
