Representatives from the Incentive Federation Inc. will attend the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) Expo 2014 on January 13-to-17, 2014, in Las Vegas at the Mandlay Bay Convention Center to continue its mission to educate and share research with those in the incentive and promotional products industries.
Incentive Federation’s attorney, George Delta, and managing director, Jessica Tadlock, will meet with Expo participants to provide a perspective based on the federation’s 30 years history in the marketplace. Delta and Tadlock will discuss the current state of government affairs and how it affects the industry, how stakeholders can advocate and raise awareness of the value of incentives within the community and with their local legislators, and provide dialogue on the findings of the Incentive Federation’s new Incentive Market Study.
Released in October 2013, the Incentive Market Study confirmed that the non-cash incentives market is thriving with 74 percent of U.S. businesses spending $76.9 billion annually on incentive travel, merchandise and gift cards. The study also revealed that half of this market is driven by smaller businesses ($1 and $10 million annual revenue), whose budgets may be tighter, but whose total volume generates $39 billion a year. The study found that overall U.S. businesses spend $22.6 billion annually on incentive travel and over $53 billion on merchandise and gift cards to reward employees, partners and customers.
The purpose of the study was to collect data from a national sample of nearly 2,000 business executives in order to estimate the current size and characteristics of the noncash incentives marketplace. The study was made possible with assistance from: Promotional Products Association International, Incentive Marketing Association, Site, Incentive Research Foundation, O.C. Tanner, Rideau and Incentpros.
“Given that PPAI assisted with the study, it is only natural that we make the findings available at the Expo, which is North America’s largest international promotional products tradeshow,” said Tadlock. “The Incentive Federation also has a depth of expertise that can benefit many PPAI members as they pursue their strategic objectives in the coming year.”
