In response to the demand for products made in the USA, Jan and Bob Merrill, owners of JBob’s Designs Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, acquired Grand Star Manufacturing. Formerly located in Kilgore, Texas, Grand Star Manufacturing was known regionally for their stock and custom Shadow Frame Awards.
The Shadow Frame Awards include a 2″ deep shadowbox frame, with a flocked lining, engraved plate, and gold, silver or copper mold. The mold collection was designed to cover every award category, and includes eagles, flags, military seals, states, gavels, sports figures and many other options. The Shadow Frames were originated by Sig Johnson, well-known for many years in the awards industry.
JBob’s Designs Inc. will offer all the original mold, size, and color options, with plans to expand the mold collection. Plate options will be available to appeal to awards and recognitions dealers, as well as promotional distributors. Shadow Frames will be available for order in late June, and custom molds will be offered August 1. As a national acrylics supplier with a large customer base, JBob’s Designs will market the Shadow Frame Awards nation-wide and continue their 17-year tradition of manufacturing American-Made products.
