A few weeks ago, images surfaced of Kid Rock wearing T-shirts with pro-Trump messages. While Snopes (warning: explicit language) reported that they were, in fact, fake, Kid Rock seems to have taken the whole thing in stride and saw the opportunity to make a few dollars.
He announced on his Facebook today that, due to “overwhelming demand,” he’s added a few T-shirts featuring the designs to his online store. (Warning: more explicit language.)
Kid Rock, who’s been an outspoken supporter of Donald Trump during his campaign, seems to be capitalizing on online hype and the media frenzy surrounding the shirts that people believed were real and then the story that they were fake.
The line includes a T-shirt that says “God, Guns & Trump,” and a hat modeled after Trump’s “Make America Great Again” caps.
Talk about seizing multiple micro-moments.
