Sustainability was one of the biggest themes we noticed at the PPAI Expo this year. It’s been prominent every year, but as new initiatives go into effect all over the world to limit plastic, and companies look for ways to minimize waste, distributors and end-users are looking for every way they can make their promotional campaigns a little greener.
We scoped out some of the most notable environmentally-friendly items from the PPAI Expo show floor to influence some of your future eco-friendly promotional campaigns.
1. Hip Utensils with Case from AAkron Line
Your meal prep game might be second-to-none, but if you’re using disposable utensils every day, you’re still contributing to pollution. This handy utensil set easily fits in a lunch bag or backpack.
2. Home Sustainability Kit from Bagito
They say you should think globally and act locally if you want to make a difference. It doesn’t get much more local than the home. This kit features reusable bags, so you can pick up groceries or takeout without having to use single-use bags. In places where single-use bags have been outlawed, these products are a must-have.
3. KTI Networks/KTI Promo’s Eco-Friendly Tech
Finding new materials for products has been a big part of the push for environmentalism in promo. These tech products like power banks and smartphone mounts are made from recycled wheat straw, and come in eco-friendly packaging.
4. Refresh Glass
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, you know? These beautiful glasses are constructed with leftover wine bottles.
5. Smart Card Business Cards
Patrick Bateman would probably have something to say about these business cards, being that he was really into a good paper card. But, times are changing, and cards made from metal, eco-friendly plastic and wood are the future. They even can contain QR codes or NFC technology so your new contacts can get your information from scanning your card, rather than you needing to hand out a million of them.
6. Raining Rose’s Eco-Friendly Bags
It’s one thing to make sustainable products, but another to make entire sustainable kits. Raining Rose made sure that all of their products are wrapped up in a package made from hemp, so even your product storage can be a green initiative.
