Mohawk, Cohoes, N.Y., aims to grow its business and enhance its operation schedule this year. Aside from hiring 100 full-time employees, Mohawk will invest millions of dollars in upgrading equipment and expanding envelope output at its converting center in Ashtabula, Ohio.
To complete this task, the company plans to change its schedule from eight hours a day, five days a week to three shifts per day, seven days a week. It also will hire about 100 total employees across five jobs titles: envelope adjuster, envelope die-cutter, envelope operator, maintenance technician and material handler.
