Nashville Predators Announce ‘Golden’ Giveaways, Most Promo Items in Franchise History

The Nashville Predators announced that the team will offer promotional giveaways for a franchise-high 18 home games during the upcoming NHL regular season. On select nights, fans wearing gold will receive premium items. Also, fans will have the opportunity to have a say in what items will be given away at games, according to the Predators’ website.
“We have worked hard over the years to make gold a distinctive color for our franchise,” said Sean Henry, Predators president and chief operations officer. “The inclusion of our fans into the decision-making process for giveaways gives them a greater role and reinforces the importance of wearing gold to make Bridgestone Arena the toughest place to play in the league.”
The Predators’ plan to offer fans a promotional giveaway during every home game during October, starting with a jersey rally towel on Oct. 8 when the Predators host the Carolina Hurricanes. The team also will hold its new “Golden Saturdays” nights, which will take place on each of the Predators’ 14 Saturday home games. During the game, the team will have special events and in-arena campaigns based on the theme, and the players will wear gold helmets.
Other October promotions include a foam helmet for the first 10,000 fans wearing gold, magnetic schedules, pink T-shirts promoting breast cancer awareness, halloween masks (also part of the Golden Giveaways program) and a luggage tag (sponsored by Metro Nashville Airport).
Fans can go online to view a list of prospective giveaways, and vote on the top three items they’d like to receive. The list includes T-shirts, insulated tumblers, pennants, foam pucks, beach towels, mousepads, guitar picks (invoking the city’s musical roots) and more.
