The Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 (CPSIA) requires all importers and U.S. manufacturers conduct regular testing of children’s products, and to make a certificate of compliance available to the public. The CPSIA also requires importers and U.S. manufacturers to provide general conformity certificates for non-children’s products to the extent they are subject to certain other regulations such as flammability of standards for solids. Indianapolis-based Norwood Promotional Products announced the company has added a CPSIA page to its Web site where these certificates of compliance and general conformity certificates can be found.
The company further announced it is and will remain in compliance with the CPSIA although the Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a stay of enforcement with respect to most of the testing and certification requirements of the CPSIA.
