Our 5 Favorite Promotional Products of the Week: Soccer Tees, License Plates and More

In Philly, it really went from “sweating as soon as we leave the house” to flannel weather overnight. We’re not complaining. Fall means chili weather. And boy does chili rule. We could spend a few thousand words debating the merits of different chili recipes and ingredients (please, do not put corn in your chili), but this isn’t a food magazine (yet).

Last we checked, this publication was still devoted to all things promotional products, so it’s our sworn duty to bring you good promos. Here are five that stood out to us this past week.

1. Alex Morgan ‘Tea Time’ T-shirt

U.S. women’s soccer star Alex Morgan just made a move to London to play for Premier League team Tottenham Hotspur’s women’s squad. In addition to being an American, our Brendan Menapace is a devoted Tottenham Hotspur fan, so this was big news for him. (He thinks she could/should slot right into the men’s team, personally.) To celebrate the move, American THFC blog Cartilage Free Captain designed these shirts referencing Morgan’s goal celebration. We guess you could call this a “tea shirt.” Come On You Spurs!

2. WWF ‘Tub of Cubs’

The World Wildlife Fund, not to be confused with the former World Wrestling Federation, is going the KFC route by selling a bucket full of adorable plush toys. The stylish and natural-looking wooden bucket can be filled with plush toys of big cat cubs, colorful frogs, African wildlife and more.

3. Ellio’s Pizza Merchandise

This isn’t the first time Ellio’s has gotten in on the promo game. And it looks like they took notice of the competition in fast food-adjacent markets going all in on branded merchandise. We especially like the “bite me” T-shirt.

4. The Menzingers License Plate

The Menzingers, one of Pennsylvania’s (and therefore the world’s) finest rock bands, are still promoting their 2019 album “Hello Exile,” and they’re leaning into PA pride for some of the merchandise. Pennsylvanians will especially get a kick out of this retro-looking Pennsylvania license plate, which probably adorned their 1993 Geo Metro or something.

5. Humane Society Face Masks

Have you ever wished you looked more like a cat? Maybe you’ve wanted something to help your new house cat feel more at home. Well, this mask won’t really help with that. But, it does help other cats and dogs in need by benefiting the Humane Society of London and Middlesex in the U.K. So that’s good!
