The Promotional Products Education Foundation (PPEF), Irving, Texas, is celebrating its 25th anniversary by offering $25,000 more in financial aid this year.
The foundation is accepting applications for its $125,000 in scholarship money for the 2014-2015 school year through March 15. The fund is made possible by contributions from Promotional Products Association International and industry donations. Applicants must be an employee in the promotional products industry or an offspring of and industry employee who has demonstrated academic achievement and participated in extracurricular activity and community service.
Last year, the foundation distributed $100,000 among 97 selected recipients. Since its 1989 inception, it has doled out more than $1 million in scholarships.
Scholarships include: four-year college scholarships for academic excellence and achievement ($1,000 annually for four years); Chairman’s College Scholarships ($2,500 annually for two years); a variety of named scholarships ($1,000 nonrenewable); Friends of Promotional Professionals Mentoring Network (PPMN) Scholarship ($1,000 nonrenewable); and one-year college scholarships ($1,000 nonrenewable).
Recipients will be announced in May.
