PROMOTIONS EAST Opens with Success

PROMOTIONS EAST 2010, hosted by the Specialty Advertising Association of Greater New York (SAAGNY) and its five regional partners, opened with approximately 2,500 distributors by midday. The first day of the trade show, held in Atlantic City, N.J., already saw more than half of last year’s two-day total.

With all the activity on the show floor, there is definitely a buzz in the air. “This is turning out to be a really exciting show,” said Barbara Lyons, executive director for SAAGNY. “We’re very pleased,” she continued. “If you’re not here, make sure to put it on your calendar for next year.”

With more than 500 exhibiting suppliers and 300-plus suppliers who did not exhibit at ASI New York, PROMOTIONS EAST remains the industry’s largest show in the Northeast region. “After talking to busy suppliers on the show floor today, I have to say day one is a success,” noted Brett Schaffer, SAAGNY president.

PROMOTIONS EAST 2010 continues tomorrow, June 9. Education opens at 8 a.m. and exhibits are open from 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
