The International Consumer Product Health and Safety Organization (ICPHSO), recently announced the appointment of Denise (Dee) Fenton to its board of directors. ICPHSO, founded in 1993, is a nonprofit, volunteer-driven, membership-based organization providing forums on health and safety issues related to consumer products manufactured and marketed in the global marketplace.
Fenton, who serves as executive director—compliance for the Quality Certification Alliance (QCA), was appointed to a three-year term, effective immediately. Commenting on the appointment, she said, “ICPHSO is the premiere industry organization dedicated to providing information and programs to promote the exchange of ideas and address health and safety concerns affecting all consumers amongst industry participants. It’s an honor to be offered the opportunity to serve on this board with so many dedicated consumer advocates”.
ICPHSO members come from a wide spectrum of disciplines—representing U.S. and global government agencies, manufacturers, importers, retailers, trade associations, certification/testing laboratories, law firms, academia, standards writing organizations, media and consumer advocacy groups.
