R.S. Owens, Prestige Glass and Waterleaf Studios, all members of the Cheektowaga, New York-based St. Regis Group of companies, won top honors at the recent Supplier Achievement Awards held during the 2015 PPAI Expo in Las Vegas, Jan. 13 to 15.
The Supplier Achievement Awards are given for excellence in promotional product categories based on quality and design.
R.S. Owens, Chicago, received the gold award for Most Creative Promotional Product Developed as a Result of a Supplier/Distributor Collaboration, along with distributor partner Francis & Lusky/HALO Branded Solutions, for the Country Music Association Lifetime Achievement Award.
Prestige Glass, Elliot Lake, Ontario, received the first of two gold awards for Best Custom Product for a hockey stick shaped “key to the city” awarded to NHL player and Olympic gold medalist Matt Duchene by the village of Haliburton, Ontario, Canada.
In addition, Prestige Glass took both the gold and silver awards for the Best Etching/Engraving category. The gold was for an award recognizing Maine tourism featuring multi-layered stage etching to create a 3-D work of art. The silver honor was for the Breaking Wave award that displayed clear starfire and teal-blue crystal etched at varying depths and complexity creating a scene of waves crashing on a beach.
Waterleaf Studios, Toronto, earned the gold award for Best Catalog for its 2014 collection of framed awards, sculptured paper art and selection of mattes and moldings.
Finally, R.S. Owens took the silver award in the Best Castings category with its Zenith Star Award, with a 22” cast metal undulating comet, and also won the silver for Best Custom Product, featuring an imaginative trophy with fluted columns and cast metal created for ESPN Sport Science.
