Rubenfeld Passes Away

Michael S. Rubenfeld, vice president of sales and marketing at Hirsch Presentation Systems, Edgewater, N.J., passed away on June 25. A 30-year veteran of the industry, Rubenfeld joined Hirsch Presentation Systems in September 2004, creating a new level of doing business within HIRSCH Liquid Ideas. Rubenfeld was responsible for creating one of the supplier’s best catalogs, mastering the jump from mainstream merchandise to brand awareness. He was also instrumental in successfully researching and developing many new items. Rubenfeld was also in charge of the HIRSCH Crazy Clip Pens line, which he successfully built up in a very short time. Prior to working at Hirsch Presentation Systems, Rubenfeld served as vice president of sales at Bankers Pens for 17 years, and national sales manager at Ready Reference Date Books and Diaries for 10 years.

Hirsch Presentation Systems released the following statement:

“Michael passed away after a short but strong battle against his illness. Despite his illness, he mustered all his energies to continue working as a consultant to us, focusing on the future with such strength and anticipation. A true gentleman of the ‘old-school,’ he will also be remembered for his cheerful personality and his optimism, that not only taught us courage but also to always remember that his glass was always ‘half full.’ He was our colleague, mentor and our friend. We feel privileged to have known him and he will be deeply missed.”
