Senator & Co. announced the merger of Senator USA and Dart Manufacturing into the newly formed Senator Promotional Group USA.
Michael Nick, president and CEO of Senator Group Worldwide, said, “This is the first step in Senator’s global strategy to become a prominent supplier of promotional products around the world. Senator enjoys the number-one position for promotional ball point pens in Europe and has a significant presence in about 90 countries around the world. We are very happy to now have a strong foothold in the U.S. market, the biggest promotional products market in the world. We also recognize that we need to be in multiple product categories to be a more meaningful supplier to our distributor customers. Business accessories are a natural addition with our writing instruments providing us with two of the top promotional products categories. Both Senator and Dart have an excellent reputation in the U.S. market receiving numerous industry awards.” Nick will be chairman of the newly created board of directors of Senator Promotional Group USA.
Jim Burrow, MAS, president of Dart has been named president and CEO of Senator Promotional Group USA and will serve as president and CEO of both Senator USA and Dart. Burrow will also serve on the executive committee of Senator Group Worldwide and on the board of directors of Senator Promotional Group USA.
Burrow said, “This is an extremely exciting opportunity for both Senator USA and Dart to be merged together in this strategic initiative. Over the next several months we will be working together to formulate a business structure focused on providing excellence in every way to our distributor customers.” Both the Senator and Dart brands will be maintained as well as their respective industry identifiers.
