Alex Brands, Fairfield, N.J., announced Neil Friedman as its president and CEO.
Friedman joined Alex Brands, parent company of Slinky, the brand of the promotional toy based in Hollidaysburg, Pa., from Toys “R” Us where he served as president of the U.S. division. A member of the Toy Industry and International Licensing Industry Merchandiser’s Association’s hall of fames, Friedman also previously served as president at Mattel Brands, Fisher-Price Brands, Tyco Preschool and MCA/Universal Merchandising. He joined Alex Brands’ board of directors earlier this year.
