Stahls’ ID Direct Decorated NFL Draft Pick Jerseys

The NFL began presenting draft picks with a personalized jersey after their names were announced at Radio City Music Hall in 2012. This year, Stahls’ ID Direct, St. Clair Shores, Mich., was on hand to complete the personalization within two minutes of each announcement.

Nike, the official apparel provider for the NFL, hired the supplier that pre-made nameplates to match each potential pick in corresponding colors for all 32 team jerseys, according to The New York Times. Upon learning each selection at the May 8 draft, the supplier used a Hotronix heat press to affix the name to the jersey, providing the on-demand personalization. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell then handed the jersey to each first-round draft pick.

“I am thrilled that heat printing is getting national exposure at the NFL draft,” Ted Stahl, chairman of the board for GroupeSTAHL said in a statement. “More importantly, I’m proud of my team at Stahls’, especially those stationed in New York City, for their hard work and preparation to help make the draft a tremendous success.”
