Storm Creek, Hastings, Minn., announced that it has promoted Derek Walters as its new director of brand experience.
In his new role, Walters will oversee both the marketing communications and customer experience teams at Storm Creek. Under his leadership and dual oversight, this will ensure that all customer engagements with the Storm Creek brand reflect the company’s mission to provide over-the-top service. It will also lead to improved customer communications, a better online purchasing experience and new efficiencies in customer service.
In his previous role, Walters served as the marketing communications manager for Storm Creek, where he oversaw the implementation of the company’s new branding, the successful launch of its new websites and e-commerce and online ordering platforms, and the restructuring of the marketing team.
“We created this new position in order to integrate two key teams that impact the overall outward face of the company,” said Storm Creek CEO Teresa Fudenberg. “Our goal is to ensure that customers who interact with our organization will experience consistent brand messaging and receive exceptional service no matter how or where they come in contact with us. Derek has a proven track record leading teams and aligning staff to achieve optimal productivity and efficiency.”
Walters has been with Storm Creek since 2017. Prior to that, he worked for 15 years in marketing communications at his alma mater, the University of North Dakota.
