YETI Coolers has been quick to the lawsuit trigger, as we’ve seen lately. But now, it looks like it will have some fair competition from Tervis Tumbler Company, North Venice, Fla., after the company rolls out its new stainless steel drinkware products.
The company unveiled 20 oz. and 30 oz. tumblers, which, starting this week, customers can design on the company’s website.
“They’re the new way to get the increased level of performance and functionality that stainless steel offers,” the company said on its website. “And, for the first time ever, they can be enjoyed with legendary and beloved exclusive Tervis designs.”
The stainless steel tumblers keep drinks “ice cold for 24 hours and piping hot for eight hours,” according to the Tampa Bay Business Journal.
With the long-lasting temperature control and stainless steel design, this sets Tervis up as a natural competitor to the likes of YETI Coolers, who have been offing their competition through lawsuits for a while now, and S’well.
For added customization, it has made “a major investment purchasing several printers that have the technology to print on a round object,” company spokeswoman Kim Livengood told the Tampa Bay Business Journal in an email.
The stainless steel products are imported, however, making it the company’s only products that are not made in the U.S.
