Royal Baby Memorabilia: It’s Here, and it’s Potentially Crazy

The Atlantic has reported that merchandise themed around the recently born royal baby could generate up to $238 million for the British economy, and it’s easy to see why. A day after the child’s birth, the Internet is already flooding with pictures of products capitalizing on the popularity of the world-famous newborn.

BuzzFeed and NBC News have published some picture collections of what’s out there so far. (Our favorite? The royal-themed sick bags. Duh.) The Mirror has also reported that the Royal family will be releasing its own collection of baby-themed collectibles, to be sold through its official memorabilia firm, the Royal Collection Trust. A source quotes the firm as stating that its focus for the baby memorabilia will be on keepsakes, such as fine china and tea sets, rather than apparel or toys.
