Yesterday, we covered some of the coolest NCAA Big Ten bowl game swag. Today, we have an even more extensive list of the gear that will be given away during the many upcoming bowl games.
An article published by Sports Business Daily reported that at least $5.4 million would be spent on gifts for bowl participants this year, up 11 percent from last year. This means that players participating in these bowl games will walk away with a ton of swag. Here are some of the top giveaways we found:
- The Gildan New Mexico Bowl will have Utah State face off against UTEP. Both the Aggies and the Miners will have their hands full after the game. Players will receive an AudioSource Sound portable/mobile speaker, a mobile phone charger, an Oakley backpack, an Oakley beanie and a Gildan blanket.
- The Raycom Media Camellia Bowl will help Bowling Green and South Alabama players remember the big game with a souvenir pylon, football and cap, in addition to a Fossil watch.
- The lucky athletes who get to play in paradise for the Hawaii Bowl will be leaving the island with some fitting gifts. The players will receive Oakley sunglasses, an Oakley backpack, a Tori Richard aloha shirt, a beach towel, and a Pro Athletics T-shirt, shorts and swim trunks.
Many of the bowl game giveaways also include a gift suite—a private event where participants are given an order form and select gifts up to the predetermined value by each bowl.
