It seems that some people can never be too careful when it comes to protecting their electronic devices from harmful viruses. This is where the USB condom comes into play. It’s a plain looking USB adaptor, but they supposedly prevent data from being transferred or accessed, according to Quartz. This means that people can plug their smartphones into other people’s computers, even if they don’t entirely trust their computers.

The devices, which not only protect devices from viruses and spyware, also allow for quicker device charging, according to PortaPow, which manufactures a line of the items.
SyncStop, another company that sells them, told Quartz that it has been selling them in bulk to big-name clients, like Morgan Stanley and Facebook.
In this age where just about everyone has a USB-enabled device, and given how popular tech items are in the promotional products space, these items might not be a bad idea for distributors looking to sell to tech companies or cybersecrity companies.
