Water Bottle Tests Quality, Filters Water

It seems like every day there are new, innovative designs for reusable water bottles. As people become more environmentally conscious, having a water bottle that they can refill is appealing. But, some people might be wary of the quality of the water they’re drinking.

One water bottle, the Ecomo Water Bottle, provides a digital readout of water quality and can even filter it. The design raised more than $275,000 on Kickstarter (after aiming for $50,000).

Users can fill the bottle with water, shake it, and look at a light display that says “bad,” “moderate” or “great.”

The bottle’s filtering system can remove contaminants, such as chlorine, pharmaceutical drugs, bacteria and more, according to Snapmunk. Also, users can take the band off of the bottle and wear it as a bracelet. The bracelet connects via Bluetooth to an app and can tell users how much water they’ve consumed and remind them to drink more.
