Dayton, Ohio-based, WorkflowOne announced it will help The Smile Train (www.smiletrain.org) by providing significant savings on its fund raising and brand-related spending. By handling all print and promotional product management for The Smile Train, WorkflowOne will save the organization an estimated $1.6 million annually. These savings will be used to provide free cleft palate surgery to approximately 6,400 children in developing countries. WorkflowOne will also provide additional services including design, sourcing, warehousing, marketing, fulfillment and delivery for the charity.
Unlike many charities that support a number of causes, The Smile Train is focused on solving a single problem: cleft palates. Clefts are a major concern in developing countries, where millions of children suffer from untreated cleft palates. Most cannot eat or speak properly, aren’t allowed to attend school, cannot find employment and face a lifetime of isolation. For as little as $250 and a surgery that often lasts only 45 minutes, The Smile Train can give a new smile to a child with cleft palate.
“The Smile Train is a unique charity, in that they turn over 100 percent of every public donation to helping children with cleft palate,” said Greg Mosher, chairman and CEO of Workflow Management, parent company of WorkflowOne. “While most of our solutions save our clients’ money, our support for The Smile Train is saving children’s smiles and that ROI is priceless.” Over the past eight years, The Smile Train has provided free cleft surgery for more than 262,254 children by empowering local doctors in developing countries with education and funding.
“WorkflowOne is giving thousands of children around the world the opportunity to receive free cleft surgery they urgently need, giving them back their confidence, their smile and often times, their very lives,” said Brian Mullaney, co-founder and president of The Smile Train. “WorkflowOne truly understands the challenges facing charities and brings unique expertise to the table, allowing us to continue our mission to eliminate this disfiguring but easily remedied affliction.”
