Company Goal:
A logistics company based in New York is looking for a fun way to promote camaraderie and team spirit in the workplace! They are a firm believer that just having one personal connection or experience with a co-worker is important to the wellness of their employees in the workplace, fostering an environment where employees can interact and share experiences strengthens those bonds. “It changes things,” said the HR coordinator. “They are no longer considered co-workers or just ‘someone I work with,’ and this positively affects their work environment.” They are looking for a way to do so without the need to organize staff parties or group outings, something simple but meaningful!
Solution:
Utilizing Scribl to build on team spirit and camaraderie in a way that brings the personalities of employees to the forefront.
What exactly did they do? They created a company branded recipe book! The first step was to have employees submit their favorite recipes from home which were then compiled into the company recipe book.
The company leaned on the ability to add tip in pages, creating beautiful and unique recipe pages. These pages were designed with elements that represented the style of cooking and the dish itself, spotlighting the employee’s name for each recipe. The rest of the book served as a way to take notes for the recipes they tried as well as a long-lasting gift and memory to be cherished.
They saw great success with this initiative and found that it sparked organic conversations between employees. “I had your fish tacos last night, they were sooo good!” and “Your hot sauce was hot, but the flavor was amazing!” were just a few phrases that were heard around the office. Learning about co-workers’ backgrounds and personalities outside of a work context is crucial in building strong and lasting relationships.
Bundling the recipe book with other various promotional items such as cooler backpacks, BBQ sets, coasters, and wine accessories are perfect complements to create a great gift. Now get cookin’!
