I recently watched the Academy Awards and was amazed at Lady Gaga’s tribute to “The Sound of Music.” If you missed it, I encourage you to find it on YouTube.
One of the songs she sang was “Climb Every Mountain.” There is lots of wisdom in the lyrics:
Climb every mountain,
Ford every stream,
Follow every rainbow,
‘Till you find your dream.
A dream that will need
All the love you can give,
Every day of your life,
For as long as you live.
A simple reflection on these lyrics provides a wonderful path to achieve your dreams.
- Climb every mountain. Find a way around every obstacle.
- Ford every stream. There is a path through every challenge if you are diligent in finding it.
- Follow every rainbow ’till you find your dream. Set your sites on worthy goals and follow them with all your heart.
- A dream that will need all the love you can give. Pursue your dreams for the people you love. Leave a legacy for your family and your world.
- Every day of your life for as long as you live.
Strap on your climbing shoes. There are some rainbows out there for you—over that mountain and across that stream.
