Colortree Inc., Richmond, Va., a manufacturer of full-color direct mail envelopes, and Graphics Innovations, an award-winning specialty printer of direct mail products, have been acquired in a management buyout. J.E. ‘Pat’ Patterson, along with Boathouse Capital, are the new owners of Colortree Group Inc. The transaction closed Sept. 30, 2011.
“The vision of Colortree Group is to be the best litho product provider in the direct mail industry,” said Pat Patterson, CEO and president of Colortree Group. “The merger of the companies will allow us to combine the capabilities of Colortree for envelopes and Graphics Innovations for high-quality print and full-service mailing, into one strong entity, providing our customers the ability to get all of their needs met in one place. Our initial growth will come from offering all of these capabilities/services to our existing and expanding customer base.”
Colortree Group aims to capture an increasingly larger portion of the direct communication business. They will achieve this by offering additional products and services to the direct mail industry, through technological innovations, higher quality, higher productivity and other advancements. The board of directors of Colortree Group includes Ken Jones, chairman, Pat Patterson, Chong Moua and Leonard Boegser.
