Reaffirming its commitment to bring distributors low-cost decorating options and faster turnaround times on umbrellas, New Kensington, Pennsylvania-based Leed’s, a member of Polyconcept North America, the second largest supplier of hard goods within the industry, marked its one-year anniversary in the umbrella category this month.
Leed’s built its umbrella collection to offer distributors benefits unavailable elsewhere in the promotional products market. Advantages include one-day order turnaround through SureShip, the industry’s first free rush service. Distributors can also count on Leed’s for one of the lowest decorating fees available on umbrella promotions. Finally, custom umbrella projects can be placed through WorldSource, Polyconcept North America’s highly reputable overseas sourcing division.
To support the growing demand for its umbrellas, Leed’s has invested in a strong inventory of its umbrella options, purchasing four times the umbrella inventory the company imported in 2010. The company also constantly strives to bring the latest trends to the market. In 2011, it introduced a variety of styles, including umbrellas from retail brands Balmain and Slazenger. Additional styles and brands are slated to launch through the end of the year.
“When we entered the category last year we knew umbrellas were a great fit within our existing product line and that offering umbrellas with our incomparable service and speed of delivery was going to be a big hit with distributors,” explained Ryan Huet, product category manager for Polyconcept North America. “Distributor response to the offering has been even better than expected during our first year in the category, and we look forward to continuing to develop the line to meet our distributors’ needs.”
