Tesla’s Latest Cybertruck Promo Is a Cardboard Cat Box/Litter Box

Tesla has been one of the standard bearers of branded products since its inception. Part of that has to do with Elon Musk’s commitment to spreading the word about his products and trying to do things differently than the competition (for better or worse).

When Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck, which itself goes against the automotive grain pretty strongly, we were a little confused why the Tesla site wasn’t immediately flooded with merchandise. Eventually, Tesla came around with T-shirts and a $50 whistle for customers to “blow the whistle on Tesla.”

The latest is not as flashy as the Cybertruck itself – maybe to do with Elon having bigger fish to fry over at X. It’s a very angular cardboard cat box that could also be a cat bed, and it’s apparently only available in China.

The folded angles of the cardboard bed/litter box match those of the truck, and feature the Tesla printed logo on the front. According to Designboom, customers who order the product will need to do the folding themselves.

Unlike the whistle, it’s also a bit more affordable, selling for only about $12.

It’s quite a leap from the other Tesla merchandise, but we can’t hate on it. It’s eco-friendly, it gets the logo visible, it makes headlines, and – most importantly – it makes cats happy. Therefore, it makes us happy.

Nothing makes cats happier than cardboard boxes. And nothing makes a brand happier than knowing that their end-users are happy. Cats are the end-users here, by the way.
