Be Forgetful

The older I get the more I hear people talk about being forgetful.

  • Forgetting where people put their keys
  • Forgetting why people went into the kitchen
  • Forgetting where people parked their cars

In my view, being selectively forgetful is a great thing. Most people will never achieve their full potential because of fear:

  • Fear of failure from previous failures
  • Fear of rejection from previous rejections
  • Fear of unworthiness from previous hurts
  • Fear from these past memories can be limiting for many, even paralyzing for some.

The key to moving past these fears and onto the brilliant future you desire is to learn the critical lessons from your experiences and forget the pain.

The easiest and most powerful way to move past the pain and fears created by your prior life experiences is forgiveness. That’s right. Forgive others for any pain they may have caused you. Forgive yourself for your own mistakes – and move on. Move onto the future life you, your family, and your legacy deserve.

(P.S.: I understand that there may be some people reading this who have experienced horrific psychological and physical abuse. If that’s your situation, perhaps you may need some professional guidance well beyond the scope of this blog. That said, no matter what it takes, I hope everyone reading this can find a way to move onto the life you deserve.)
