Debco, Concord, Ontario, announced that it is recalling its Tonal Thirst Mug. According to a statement from Debco, the handle may break off when in use.

The recall includes the mugs purchased between Aug. 1 and April 11 in white/black, white/blue, white/lime and white/red. Debco recommended that end-users stop using the mugs immediately, and contact their promotional products distributors. Additionally, the company recommended that distributors who sold the mugs contact their clients and inform them of the voluntary recall.

Debco also is offering a non-imprinted mug of higher value (Bowery Stoneware Mug) at no charge as a replacement for the recalled mugs.

“Debco stands resolved in our commitment to our distributor-partners and their clients in this matter,” said Stan Gallen, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Debco, in the press release. “We deeply regret any inconvenience this voluntary recall will cause, and pledge to make amends in the most fair and expedient manner possible.”

Affected parties can contact Debco regarding the recall and how to return the mug by calling (844) 730-5005 or by emailing [email protected].
